Welcome aboard! Please browse the links below for important information designed to help you get started with the academic recruitment process. If you do not yet have access to AP Recruit, please have your supervisor email us with the units/departments you will need access to and we will get the training materials sent to you. Please note that all new employees must complete the training before we grant access to AP Recruit.

  • Summary of Requirements and Timelines

Provides an outline of the overall academic recruitment tasks, including creating a Search Plan prior to launching a search, evaluating applicants during the search, and completing a Search Report once a candidate (or candidates) has been selected to put forward for appointment consideration.

  • Academic Recruitment E-learning Tutorial: Senate and Non-Senate

Contact the Office for Faculty Equity & Welfare (ofew@berkeley.edu(link sends e-mail)) to begin the tutorial. We will need to set up a fake recruitment in our test site for you to complete the exercises. If you already have access to AP Recruit do not use that system for this tutorial.

  • AP Recruit Training Site

The training site is a resource for training and practice with AP Recruit. Analysts can set up fake recruitments and work within the system to better understand the various features of AP Recruit. Everything done within the training site remains there, and will not go live for the public.

  • AP Recruit User Manual

The AP Recruit User Manual provides detailed information on every feature in AP Recruit. New and continuing analysts are encouraged to use this manual to answer questions on locating and using specific features and fuctions within the system.
